Philadelphia police Taser suspect in Center City struggle

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- It took 3 officers and a Taser to take down a belligerent man in Center City Philadelphia.

It happened at 1:00 a.m. Thursday outside the 7-Eleven store at 12th and Chestnut.

Police say the man tried to get into a woman's car, and when police confronted him he attacked.

The first officer to respond Tasered the suspect twice, but he kept on fighting.

Backup arrived, and two more officers were assaulted before they took the man down.

All three officers were treated for minor injuries.

The suspect faces assault charges.

Police say he has a record for disturbing the peace.
