After Pope Francis celebrated Mass at the Cathedral Basilica Saints Peter and Paul on Saturday, he blessed several children.
One of those children was 10-year-old Christopher Garcia.
He is a fourth grade student at John Leach School in New Castle, Delaware.
Christopher has cerebral palsy and is quadriplegic.
But he was all smiles as his mother told Action News about their encounter with the pope.
"It's an unreal moment. Right now, we feel like were we really there? Did this really happen?" his mother Nancy Lemus said.
Garcia's visit was arranged through the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Delaware.
