WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Tony Award-winner and Emmy and Grammy nominee Kelli O'Hara is bringing her unmistakable, acclaimed voice to Wilmington for one night only.
She's a star of the stage and screen, and one of Broadway's greatest leading ladies.
O'Hara says we can expect an "experience."
"It's a laugh, a riot," says O'Hara. "It's 90 minutes of just escape."
O'Hara just wrapped her run in "Fallen Angels," which earned her a 9th Tony nomination, and her first for a play.
She is now taking her solo show on the road with a set that includes classics from the Great American Songbook and modern Broadway favorites.
"This is going to be the first time that I'm doing a solo show, after this run," she says. "I haven't been singing except for one other concert, and so I'm going to be so excited to be singing. I'm going to be so excited to be using that part of myself again, which is the biggest part of myself. There are songs from shows that I've done, of course, songs that you might have seen me in a Broadway show singing."
Kelli O'Hara will be at Copeland Hall at The Grand in Wilmington, Delaware Friday, June 19 at 8 p.m.
