Crews battle apartment fire in Wynnefield

WYNNEFIELD (WPVI) -- Crews were called to the scene of an apartment fire in Philadelphia's Wynnefield section.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 5300 block of West Montgomery Avenue.

Firefighters reported heavy fire showing upon arrival.

There are no reports of any injuries. The Red Cross is assisting five people displaced by the fire.

No word on the cause of the blaze.
