HOCKESSIN, Del. (WPVI) -- Monday marked the start of "Days of Summer Camp" for individuals with Down Syndrome and their siblings.
The free camp presented by the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware is happening this week at North Star Elementary in Hockessin.
It provides families with the traditional summer day camp experience.
Organizers say it also gives campers a chance to form new friendships, especially the siblings who can meet peers who understand what it's like to have a brother or sister with special needs.
