North Philadelphia intersection to be renamed in memory of local rapper LGP QUA

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- City officials will rename 9th and Clearfield Streets in North Philadelphia on Saturday in memory of local rapper Quidere Johnson, better known as LGP QUA.

Johnson, dubbed the Voice of the Youth, was shot to death this past Mother's Day during an attempted robbery at M and Luzerne streets in the city's Juniata Park section.

Police have arrested three suspects in connection with Johnson's murder.

His songs touched on gun violence in North Philadelphia.

His mother is pressing for more police enforcement.
