The Ocean City boardwalk becomes the perfect race track for local runners on New Year's Day

OCEAN CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) -- It's the first day of 2025, and community members flocked to the Jersey Shore to get active.

Their legs were moving for both a 5k, and a jump into the cold ocean.

All of this was to get the new year off on the right foot with plenty of exercise.
