PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia is expanding its cleanup effort as crews continue to clear the snow and ice from the winter storm more than a week ago.
In South Philadelphia, parking restrictions began on Tuesday morning for a large-scale snow removal operation.
City leaders alerted drivers to move parked cars on South Broad Street between Washington and Oregon avenues by 7 a.m.
However, signs posted along South Broad Street said enforcement began at 8 a.m.

Dozens of vehicles, including excavators and loaders, will move in to clear ice and snow from parking lanes, travel lanes, and the center median in that area.
Free parking will be available for residents at Lot U at Citizens Bank Park from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Officials stress that all cars must be removed from that lot by 6 p.m.
The city already has around 1,000 workers on storm response, and is now bringing in 300 more to help clear residential areas.
Officials did not provide a timeline for when work to remove snow city-wide would be completed, but said crews will continue until the job is done.
