HERSHEY, Pa. (WPVI) -- The 9-year-old child who died after an incident in a wave pool at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania has been identified.

Subedi was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later died.
According to the coroner in the case, Subedi died from an accidental drowning and did not experience a medical event.
"From the moment that our lifeguard team recognized that a child was in distress, they performed an immediate rescue, followed by continuous, coordinated life-saving efforts by our lifeguards, on-site first responders and medical personnel," said John Lawn, Hersheypark's CEO, in a statement last week.
The Boardwalk is home to a 378,000-gallon wave pool called "The Shore," which goes to a depth of 6 feet, according to the company's website.
The company said there were over 100 certified lifeguards in the Boardwalk at the time of the incident, including 10 specifically dedicated to the wave pool.
"The safety of our guests has always been our highest priority," Lawn said. "We will conduct a thorough internal review and cooperate fully with authorities."
The investigation into the child's death is currently ongoing.
