
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A teenage boy was shot and killed in front of a church on Friday morning in North Philadelphia.
Police said the shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Friday at N. 18th and W. Huntingdon streets.
Officers don't know the identity of the teen who was shot and killed, but said he looked young and was possibly in his mid to late teens.
Police and medics said they found the teen on the sidewalk in front of a church with gunshot wounds to his head.
Medics rushed him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a few minutes later.
Action News was told the shooting was captured on city-owned real-time crime cameras.
Investigators say the victim was seen walking with two other males on Huntington Street when shots were fired and then those two males ran away.
Two other teens were injured in a shooting in North Philadelphia.
While the exact location of the shooting is not yet known, investigators say it is not connected to the fatal shooting.
Police said the two teens showed up at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in a private vehicle around 2 a.m.
A 16-year-old boy had a gunshot wound to his leg. He is in stable condition.
A 17-year-old had gunshot wounds to his back and right calf. He is hospitalized in critical condition.
Police said the dark colored sedan the teens showed up in at St. Chris' had a shattered back window.
Investigators say it's possible the car was stolen because it was found with a screwdriver in the ignition.
