PUERTO RICO (WPVI) -- Three weeks after Puerto Rico was ravaged by Hurricane Maria, only 17 percent of residents have power and only 64 percent have access to potable water.
The death toll is currently 44, but people like local elected officials and funeral home directors say the number is actually much higher.
A delegation of doctors from New Jersey traveled to the island Wednesday to assess the situation to determine how they can best help, and Action News medical reporter and registered nurse Ali Gorman was with them.
