Woman walking with child steals purse from store in Juniata Park

JUNIATA PARK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a woman who stole a purse from inside a store while walking with a small child in the city's Juniata Park section.

It happened on October 4 just before noon.

Police say the woman walked with the child into the Kassie World Furniture Warehouse on the 3800 block of Castor Avenue.

Once inside, she walks with the child back to the rear office area of the store, grabs a purse and stuffs it into a large black bag.

She then walked out of the store in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a black female with a medium complexion. She was wearing a multicolored scarf on her head, pink jacket and blue jeans.
