New Jersey company opens warehouse doors for big discounts on Halloween costumes

RUNNEMEDE, N.J. -- If you're looking for an amazing Halloween costume, there's no better conversation piece than something that was created right in New Jersey.

There's a local design house in Runnemede, Camden county that ships original designs all across the world and for the first time, they're offering big discounts by opening the doors of their warehouse to the public.

"This is where we create and design anything we have in our heads and we bring it to life," said owner, Robert Berman.

Berman started this global brand with one hat in the summer of 1992.

"On Long Beach Island I sold my first hat I sold or $20 bucks and a beer," he recalled.

Twenty-five years later, Rasta Imposta is a global brand and while you may not know their name, you've probably worn their work because they ship to major retailers, including Amazon, Party City and Spirit Halloween.

This year's Halloween trends include Avocado Toast, Bob Ross, a Fidget Spinner and President Donald Trump.

"Its a big seller, it sells to Democrats, Republicans and Independents," said Berman.

Sometimes the design literally starts with a dream, like the oversized clown head.

"The big clown head, I said i have this dream I could I make the mouth move," said Berman.

And this year for the first time, the Bermans are opening their warehouse to the public.

"This is an opportunity to get people to see what we do," said Berman.

Customers can shop their designs at deep discounts up to 70 percent off with prices averaging about $10-$15 dollars.

"A family of five came in and everyone got costumes for $45 bucks," said Berman.

Rasta Imposta's warehouse is located at 600 East Clements Bridge Road in Runnemede, New Jersey.

You can visit the warehouse Thursdays and Fridays from 3pm-6pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-4pm through October.
