Delaware County authorities have a suspect in custody after an apparent road rage stabbing in Collingdale.

COLLINGDALE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Delaware County authorities have a suspect in custody after an apparent road rage stabbing in Collingdale.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of MacDade Boulevard.

Police say an altercation at the Sunoco A-Plus mini mart ended with a man being stabbed in the arm.

The victim was taken to Delaware County Hospital with a stab wound to the left arm and appeared to be stable.

Witnesses told the police the suspect fled the scene in a silver vehicle towards Darby Borough possibly turning left onto Staley Ave, which is a dead end.

Police soon located the suspect vehicle, a silver Lexus, parked on Staley Avenue still running.

Officers noticed a man and a woman walking way from the Lexus.

The two were detained by police.

The man, identified as Stanley Williams of Philadelphia, was positively ID'ed by witnesses as the stabbing suspect.

Police say Williams will be charged with Simple Assault, Aggravated Assault, PIC, Prohibited Offensive Weapons, Reckless Endangerment, Harassment and Terroristic Threats.

Police say the Lexus was impounded due to evidence on the vehicle, which included blood on the passenger's side rear door and front right tire as well as a smashed windshield.

The woman who was seen with Williams was also detained, but expected to be released.
