Man filling vehicle with gas killed by hit-and-run driver in Philadelphia

Police ID man killed in Roosevelt Boulevard hit-and-run
Investigators said a 37-year-old Leonid Kadomshy of Philadelphia was pouring gasoline into his Nissan when he was struck by the driver of a black Acura.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police have identified the man who was killed by a hit-and-run driver while filling his gas tank along the Roosevelt Boulevard.

The crash happened just before 7 p.m. Monday on the 7500 block of the Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia.

Investigators said a 37-year-old Leonid Kadomshy of Philadelphia was pouring gasoline into his Nissan when he was struck by the driver of a black Acura.

Police said the occupants of the Acura fled the scene on foot.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A passenger in the Nissan complained of head pain but refused medical attention, police said.

Police said a passenger in the Acura later turned herself in to authorities and was taken to Accident Investigation Division Headquarters.

Police said they have video from the scene and the search continues for the driver.
