VIDEO: Saving on Easter goodies
We are here to help you stuff those baskets without cashing in a golden egg!

Easter is just a few days away, and if the Easter Bunny is on a budget this year, we are here to help you stuff those baskets without cashing in a golden egg!

The National Retail Federation says the average household spends $140 filling baskets!

All of the candy and chocolate bunnies really add up.

We hit up Pinterest for some cool and cheap basket stuffer ideas.

Try this out - crayon hearts! Gather some old broken crayons, load them up in a baking tin, pop them in the oven and make one big crayon.

Get one big bag of mini marshmallows and make little bags of bunny tails.

Peeps - the pride of Bethlehem! Split a box among a few baskets by skewering a few to make peeps sticks.

And check this out: Cut up old ties and use them to dye eggs!

Need an Easter basket? Thriftyfun.com says if you have an old bonnet from last year, turn it upside down!

Consider a growing gift and fill their basket with a small potted plant they can love and nurture.

For basket filler, shred some old paper. And for plastic egg stuffers, make coupons for special things like getting out of chores.
