School bus catches on fire in West Philadelphia; children safely evacuated

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Crews responded to a school bus fire in West Philadelphia.

It happened before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of North 67th and Media streets.

Firefighters began dousing water on the outside of the bus.

Officials say seven children were on the bus when it caught fire.

The children were safely evacuated, and then walked one and half blocks to the Overbrook Education Center.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
