Allentown schools to remain closed for students Friday after winter storm

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- Schools in the Allentown School District will remain closed for students on Friday, nearly a week after the Blizzard of 2016 dumped more than 2 feet of snow in the area.

A message on the district's website Thursday said the school buildings themselves will be open.

Teachers and staff are expected to report for an in-service day.

Students, however, can stay home.
