A person was struck and killed by a train on SEPTA's Media/Elwyn Line in Delaware County.

YEADON, Pa. (WPVI) -- A person was struck and killed by a train on SEPTA's Media/Elwyn Line in Delaware County.

It happened around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday near the 6200 block of Baltimore Pike in Yeadon, between the Yeadon and Angora station.

Service on the Media/Elwyn line was suspended for hours after the incident, but resumed overnight.

The name of the person who was killed has not been released.
