Today we're talking easy ways to become a better shopper.

First up: Online retail.

Consumer experts recommend getting rid of temptation while on the web by regularly clearing out the cookies on your browser.

The files collect data from sites you visit, then ads for those items pop-up randomly, tempting you to start shopping again.

Another way to prevent an impulse buy? Don't store your credit card information online.

The editor of fashionista.com says reentering your details will force you to stop and ask yourself if it's something you really need.

She also recommends streamlining your inbox.

If you're tempted to click every time you get a store email, try the free app Ziploop. It sends all promotions to the app so you can pick and choose when you want to go through them.

As for actual stores, the experts at nerdwallet.com recommend using cash, instead of credit cards, at smaller boutiques.

They often offer small discounts since they have to pay extra frees for credit card transactions.

And finally, the founder of thebudgetbabe.com says if you find yourself unsure about a purchase in store, take a selfie.

You can upload that picture to free apps like SnapSure and WeStyle for instant, honest feedback from a community of fashionistas.
