Sinkhole closes street in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A street in North Philadelphia had to be closed after a sinkhole opened up early Thursday morning.

It happened on the 1900 block of Nicholas Street.

Crews discovered a 2 by 2 foot gap in the road while investigating a water main break in the area.

Police had to close the street in order for crews to make repairs.
