Prescription medicine can be quite costly.but PACE, The Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly is a benefit that helps older Pennsylvanians on limited incomes.

Tom Snedden, Director of PACE said, ""The qualification process is pretty simple. 3 out of 4 people in Pennsylvania meet those qualification criteria."

The PACE program can also help seniors get discounts from drug companies and PACE pharmacists are trained to keep an eye out for problems.

Judith Dooley, Pharmacist with PACE said,"We monitor card holders and their intake of certain pain medications so that they're not overdosing or not taking too many."

Ginger Zielinskie, Benefits Data Trust said, "Most applications can be done right over the phone in one phone call."
