Early Christmas present for police recruits

BLACKWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- 24 men & women marked a milestone on their career path Thursday afternoon.

They graduated in Camden County College's 69th police academy class.

The new officers come from 7 police departments.

9 have bachelor's degrees, while 6 have associate degrees.

For the past 5 months, they've been put to the test in the classroom and training course.

Now, they'll use that knowledge to make south jersey a safer place.
