New Leash on Life

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It was a different kind of graduation ceremony Thursday in Northeast Philadelphia.

These are the graduates coming up for their diplomas and photo ops at the Philadelphia Department of Prisons, and notice, they come in pairs.

the program is called New Leash on Life, and it does just that for both the inmates AND the pups.

The program matches the inmates with dogs who have been rescued from high kill shelters.

The work together to improve each others lives, both taking advantage of these second chances.
