OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Ocean City was a popular place to be as thousands turned out for the annual "Night in Venice" boat parade.

The event kicked off with the boat carrying Miss Night in Venice and her court.

Twelve young women vied for the title by raising money for local service organizations. The crown went to the one who raised the most.

Within the parade was a familiar face - Action News Meteorologist Adam Joseph, who was on-board a boat with a 70s theme.

Adam's son Jacob even joined in on the fun.

People lined the bay to take in the evening's festivities.

The boats traveled along the bay and through the lagoons from the Longport Bridge to Tennessee Avenue.

Each boat was decorated with a different theme.

This parade has become a huge local tradition, drawing huge crowds each and every year.
