SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Residents escaped a fire inside a Southwest Philadelphia house early Friday morning.
The blaze broke out just before 3:30 a.m. on the 5500 block of Pentridge Street.
Firefighters focused on the first floor. They were checking a gas connection.
Most of the damage was done to the interior of the house.
There were no injuries reported. The Red Cross is assisting a family of six impacted by the blaze.
PGW was also called to the scene to investigate the gas connection.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
