WALLKILL, NY -- A pee-wee football team may need to work out a little harder.
The Wallkill Mighty Mites had their first game over the weekend. But when the 6- and 7-year-old pee wee football players tried to run through a spirit banner before the game, they were all caught by surprise.
YouTuber Zach Halverson edited the video together to the song "Chariots of Fire."
YouTuber James Cracolici first posted the video for the internet to enjoy. He then tried to explain to the world why the young kids couldn't break through the barrier.
"It's vinyl but it is actually two pieces held together by Velcro," Cracolici posted. "What you can't see is the sign is backwards with the writing facing us on the field. Guess it's not made to break that way?"
While the little kids didn't look too intimidating before the game, they were a force to be reckoned with on the field. They ended up winning by a score of 24 to 0.
