PHILADELPHIA -- Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey missed Tuesday night's 120-102 win over theDetroit Pistons because of left hip tightness, while De'Anthony Melton made his return for the first time since late February.
Maxey was sidelined two nights after scoring a career-high 52 points in a double-overtime win at San Antonio.
Maxey is averaging 25.9 points and 6.3 assists for Philadelphia, which has won five in a row and is trying to avoid the NBA's play-in tournament.
Maxey was one of five Philadelphia starters listed as questionable for Tuesday night's game. The guard shot 19-for-41 and played 54 minutes in the Sixers' 133-126 win over the Spurs. Philadelphia was without Joel Embiid against San Antonio.
Melton has missed all but five games since Jan. 1 because of a back injury. He scored 5 points with 3 assists and 2 steals in 16 minutes on Tuesday.
Tobias Harris returned as well after missing the past three games because of a left knee contusion. He was in the starting lineup alongside Embiid, who scored 37 points.
Kyle Lowry was out because of left knee swelling.
