VOORHEES, N.J. (WPVI) -- He was the victim of an unprovoked attack, punched in the face in a video that went viral. But on Wednesday he was back in the spotlight for the right reasons.

Mark Smith was presented his very own Flyers jersey, handed to him by defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere and goalie Anthony Stolarz.

The team invited the intellectually disabled 38-year-old to spend the day at Skate Zone in Voorhees, New Jersey after seeing what happened to him back on Memorial Day.

He was sucker-punched on a Germantown sidewalk by a group of juveniles, who have since been arrested.

"It's not a good thing to see, but it's great to see his attitude about it how he's just brushing it off getting back out there, having fun and going on with his life. It sucks to see, but that's the world we live in today," said Gostisbehere.

On top of the team jersey, Smith also received an entire bag full of Flyers gear.

He's planning to give most of it away to local children.
