LOS ANGELES -- Rap mogul Suge Knight was hospitalized for an undisclosed medical issue on Thursday before a scheduled court appearance.
Knight, 49, was supposed to appear in court for an arraignment hearing on a criminal threats charge and for a hearing in a robbery case, but he never appeared.
A court spokesperson said Knight was taken by ambulance to an area hospital. No further information was immediately available.
The Death Row Records co-founder was charged with robbery after a photographer reported that Knight and comedian Katt Williams stole her camera in September. Knight pleaded not guilty to robbery, but prosecutors added a criminal threats charge last week.
Knight is currently being held without bail in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Compton on Jan. 29 that took the life of Terry Carter. He faces a murder charge and an attempted murder charge in that case.
