A Port Richmond homeowner says she was awakened in the middle of the night by the sound of someone stealing copper wire from her backyard.
"This is a dangerous and illegal practice that potentially could impact lives," a Verizon spokesperson said.
Sometime between Monday evening and Wednesday morning thieves broke into the church, located on the 400 block of Sentner Street and removed several large items.
