A Bucks County woman is accused of causing, and then exploiting, the death of her roommate.
The victim's family called police when they noticed a significant amount of money missing as they were closing accounts.
The suspects were arrested on identity theft and gun trafficking charges related to the purchase of 14 firearms with the stolen ID of an active-duty soldier.
Experts say thieves use the information to get real driver's licenses with stolen info or make fake ones.
Police believe it may have been there for nearly 24 hours and was capable of stealing debit card information and PINs.
"Their greed is a cautionary tale to remind the community to put financial safeguards in place to prevent fraud and theft," said DA Deb Ryan.
