Worker rescued dangling from bridge

HOUSTON, Tx. (WPVI) -- Two Houston firefighters rescued a worker who was dangling from a bridge.

The state's department of transportation says a contractor working on the span lost his footing and slipped.

He was wearing personal protective gear that kept him from falling all the way down.

Firefighters dropped through a manhole on the bridge, attached a harness to the worker, and then pulled him to safety.
