Officials say a contractor hit a PSE&G gas line, causing a leak.

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (WPVI) -- The New Jersey Turnpike is open again in Cherry Hill after an earlier gas leak.



The highway had been closed between interchanges 3 and 4.



The incident was reported just before noon Friday.



Authorities say a contractor struck a gas pipe, causing the leak.



The line was struck during a demolition job at the old Victory Refrigeration Company on Woodcrest Rd. next to the Turnpike.
