NAACP Annual Gala

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia chapter of the NAACP honored community leaders and activists for their dedication during the annual gala awards Friday night in University City.

The special honoree was Juanita Abernathy, the widow of Reverend Ralph Abernathy, both played an active role in the civil rights movement.

6abc President Bernie Prazenica and Public Affairs Manager Niki Hawkins were on hand to congratulate the winners.
