Pedestrian struck on I-495, critically injured

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- A person was struck by a vehicle on I-495 in Wilmington, Delaware.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday along the northbound lanes near the Terminal Avenue exit.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene.

I-495 was closed for a period time as police investigated.
