LANSDALE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A car crash that caused a traffic nightmare along the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike is finally cleared.
Chopper 6 HD was over the massive back-up that lasted for hours.
Police say there was a crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate-476 at 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
Traffic was detoured between Lansdale and Fort Washington.
Drivers were told to take Route 63 East to Route 309 South, and then back to the Turnpike in Fort Washington.
The accident has been cleared, but traffic is only getting by at reduced speeds.
No word on the injuries.
