Camden man gives back to kids through the Center for Aquatic Sciences

CAMDEN, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Studying the environment along the Delaware River was a life-changing experience for 20-year-old Luis Colon.

That's why he's decided to give back to the Center for Aquatic Sciences, which gave him so much.

Today, Colon is an Assistant Team Leader for the Center For Aquatic Sciences 'CAUSE' youth program. The acronym stands for the Community And Urban Science Enrichment.

Colon helps teach kids how to fish, takes residents on kayak excursions, and assists in the cleanup of Petty's Island off the shore of Camden.

Also, he is studying at Rowan University with hopes of becoming a veterinarian specializing in exotic animals.
