Car crashes into utility pole, driver killed in Vineland, N.J.

VINELAND, N.J. (WPVI) -- A driver was killed after a car struck a utility pole in Vineland, New Jersey early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred just past midnight at the intersection of East Landis Avenue and New Panther Road.

Police say the driver lost control, striking a utility pole and knocking down wires on the road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
