'Oswald the Rabbit' footage reveals 1st Disney character

Before Mickey Mouse, there was his predecessor: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. For the first time, we're seeing footage of the first Disney character.

The silent film in black and white dates back to 1928, when a young Walt Disney created Oswald the Rabbit.

He didn't own the rights to the character but, Universal did and contract disputes led Disney to break away.

From there, he created Mickey Mouse along with his iconic Walt Disney Company, the parent company of 6abc.
