2-year-old found wandering in North Philadelphia with burned foot

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Authorities say a 2-year-old child was found wandering in North Philadelphia with a burned foot.

It happened around 1:50 Friday afternoon.

Upon further investigation, police located the child's home in the 2200 block of North 16th Street.

Police found an 11-year-old sibling inside with deplorable conditions.

Both children were taken to St. Christopher's Hospital to be checked out.

No word on the whereabouts of the parents.

Officials from the Department of Human Services are investigating.
