SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Water department crews were called to the scene of a large water main break in South Philadelphia.
The 12 inch break was first reported before 5:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Oregon Avenue and 3rd Street.
Officials say some PGW gas lines had to be repaired, delaying the repair on the water main.
About 130 properties are still without water. Service is expected to be restored sometime Friday evening.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
