NEW YORK -- Authorities say a New York City man was arrested at LaGuardia Airport Thursday after being stopped by TSA officers with three weapons in his carry-on bag.
TSA officers said they detected a hatchet, a folding knife and brass knuckles among the Manhattan resident's carry-on items as he was passing through the airport checkpoint.
The officer staffing the checkpoint X-ray machine detected the items inside the carry-on bag as it passed along the conveyor belt.
Port Authority Police responded and took possession of the items and arrested the man at about 5:30 a.m. on weapons charges without incident.
