National Watermelon Day

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- Wednesday night wasn't the right moment to cut back on food.

It was a night for folks to chow down on as much as they could, celebrating National Watermelon Day, with a watermelon eating contest.

They held it at City Tap House in University City.

The bar also offered watermelon beers from various craft breweries, seeds already removed.
