WEST KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- There were no injuries in a single alarm house fire in the West Kensington section of Philadelphia.
It happened around 7:35 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of East Thayer Street.
Arriving crews were met with visible fire and thick smoke billowing from the two-story home.
Initial reports were that someone was trapped but that proved to be unfounded.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was placed under control shortly before 8:00 p.m.
No word on a cause.
