2 hospitalized after West Philadelphia fire

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two people are hospitalized after a fire in West Philadelphia.

The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. Monday on the 5500 block of Media Street.

Firefighters reported heavy flames on arrival.

Medics transported two females to the hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation.

The Red Cross is assisting those affected by the blaze.
