Woman shot sitting on front steps in Port Richmond

Police say a woman was shot sitting on her front steps in Port Richmond in Philadelphia early Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. on the 3400 block of Braddock Street.

A 24-year-old woman was shot three times in the stomach, police say.

She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

So far, there is no word on arrests or a motive for the shooting.

The woman's name has not been released.

Police are investigating the incident.
