Woman shot in the leg in Kensington

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A woman in her 20s was shot and wounded in the leg in Philadelphia's Kensington section.

The shooting happened before 2 a.m. Tuesday on the 2100 block of Custer Street.

The victim told police, she was hit by a stray bullet.

She was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

One shell casing was found at the scene.

Police are investigating the incident.
