They call it the miracle mile for a reason
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - January 2, 2008 The stretch in downtown Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, has
produced another millionaire. The winning 1 million dollar ticket
in yesterday's Holiday Millions Raffle was sold at a store called
Ma and Pa's. Another store on the Miracle Miles sold a 208-plus
million dollar Powerball ticket in 2006. Several other stores sold
multimillion-dollar tickets in the 1990s. State lottery officials
report the odds of winning the million bucks in the New Year's Day
lottery would have been about two in a million if all the tickets
were sold.
