The accident happened at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Oaktree Drive in Levittown.
Police say the group was involved in suspicious activity at nearby George Washington Elementary School. When authorities approached, the car sped off and slammed into a tree on Oaktree Drive.
Two of the car's occupants were taken to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital, while the other two were taken to St Mary Medical Center. Their conditions have not been released.
The driver was being pursued because he did not have his headlights on, police said. The occupants face alluding police and drug charges.
